Rylan Metcalfe
Fullstack Engineer & Dev-ops
Rylan is a senior at the University of Utah with three years of experience as a Software and Hardware Engineer at JUMP by Limitless Flight, where he contributes to the development of cutting-edge VR flight experiences. He has architected and implemented the full cloud infrastructure, including comprehensive DevOps tooling to streamline development workflows and improve deployment efficiency. His work spans both frontend and backend systems, including the design and implementation of real-time communication services, API code generation pipelines, search indexing infrastructure, social feed streaming and chunking systems, and Azure-based storage and database solutions.

Alex Tokita
Backend Engineer
Alex Tokita is an incoming software engineer at O.C. Tanner, and he hopes to pursue a career trajectory towards engineering leadership or product management. Throughout his time at the University of Utah, Alex has held two software engineering internships—at O.C. Tanner and Fidelity Investments—and spent three semesters as a teaching assistant for CS 2420: Intro to Data Structures and Algorithms. Through these experiences, as well as coursework, Alex has gained valuable skills particularly in backend development and AI. Beyond computer science, Alex serves as president of the Asian American Student Association at the University of Utah, which is one of the most active student organizations on campus! In his free time, he loves the outdoors, hiking, gardening, and travelling!

Alex Tran
Frontend Engineer
Alex Tran is an incoming software engineer intern at Adobe and an incoming software engineer at Lucid Software. With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Alex has developed a strong focus on both frontend and backend development. Alex is also the lead teaching assistant for Data Structures and Algorithms at the University of Utah. He enjoys tackling complex technical challenges and optimizing code performance. In his free time, Alex loves exploring new technologies, mentoring others in programming and software development, and watching anime and NBA games.

Marcus Dao
Frontend Engineer
Marcus Dao is a senior at the University of Utah and a full-time Backend Software Engineer at MX Technology. He previously interned at Fidelity Investments, where he worked on the Money Movement API teams and developed experience with financial flows. He now applies that knowledge at MX Technology, contributing to the Data Access product, which connects banks to financial intermediaries. During his academic career, Marcus served as a Teaching Assistant for five semesters, supporting CS 2420: Data Structures and Algorithms and CS 1410: Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming. He also held leadership roles as President of the Technical Coding Club and Fundraiser for the Asian American Student Association. In his free time, Marcus enjoys running, hiking, gaming, and exploring new cuisines.
